Retrogaming in recent years is experiencing an incredible success and we are ready to bet, maybe using the best casino apps, that this trend will continue to grow for a long time to come. A sign of this interest is the growth of exclusive events dedicated to our passion.

One of the most important events of the year is certainly the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo in New York, which this year celebrates its first 5 years. The date is scheduled for August 10 and 11 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Garden City, NY, for an appointment highly anticipated by lovers of retro games and classic games. At the Expo you can play a huge selection of retro games including some very rare items, learn about the sellers of retro video games and also participate in the discussions during the many interesting conferences scheduled.

In presenting the event, the organizers made these statements: “The idea of the Expo was very simple but also clear: we wanted to do a kind of retrogaming event we’d all want to go to. And that’s exactly what we’ve done by providing a friendly and welcoming environment to everyone, including guests, volunteers, and vendors. This is the fifth year of Long Island Retro Gaming Expo and in this period we have grown so much that we have exceeded 4300 attendees in the last edition of 2018 and we are sure that this year will be even better.”

The Expo has now become a focal point of the growing gaming community. Players and organizations of all kinds have chosen this venue to host annual tournaments, meet their fans or simply spend time together enjoying this shared passion.

In 2017, the organizers decided to expand the content of the event and started to include tabletop games and that’s how the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo was born. This event within the event is therefore characterized by role-playing games, war games, board games and CCG for players of all skill levels.

Reading about the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo in New York, you can’t help but think that it would be the ideal destination for the protagonists of the cult sit-com The Big Bang Theory. Although it’s set on the western coast of the USA, we can see clearly in a hypothetical new episode of the series, Leonard Hofstadter, Sheldon Cooper, Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali taking a plane and diving in these two nerdy days in the big apple and who knows what trouble they would get into!

Events like the one in New York, however, are really spreading like wildfire in Europe as well as in America without forgetting Japan, where there is a strong tradition of love for the games of the past.

A growing interest in retrogaming so strong that this is one of the pillars for the relaunch of the famous videogames chain Gamestop. Locations dedicated entirely to retrogaming software and hardware are coming up with the basic idea of proposing these new concepts for stores in selected markets, in order to be able to offer players something new, whether they are veterans or newbies, for all those looking for a gaming experience that goes beyond the current consoles.
